The British Embassy in Algiers provides different services:

Help for British Nationals

The Embassy provides a range of assistance to  British Nationals. Our responsibilities include registering births and deaths, providing legal paperwork in marriage cases, notary service and assistance to British Nationals in emergency situations. We do not issue passports, but can accept applications, which are processed in the UK. The process takes six to twelve weeks. 

Visas for the UK

The Visa Section is responsible for processing and issuing visas for entrance to the United Kingdom. The types of visas processed include student visas, official delegation visas and a combination of other visa categories - tourist, business, family visits and so on. Visa applications are made in person to WorldBridge Service in:  71, rue Mohamed Belkacemi 1er etage immeuble Ericsson El Madania (Oued kniss)

Trade and Investment

UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) is the trade development arm of the British government and supports British businesses entering the Algerian market through missions, seminars, trade shows, research and ongoing advice. UKTI also fosters positive bilateral trade and investment conditions through its contacts with the Algerian Government.

Help for British Nationals

1) With effect from Sunday 26 September the Embassy's Consular opening hours are:

 

- Sunday 13:00-15:30 for new business and collections from the previous Thursday.

- Monday 13:00-15:30 for new business and collections from the previous day.

- Tuesday 13:00-15:30 for new business and collections from the previous day.

- Wednesday 13:00-15:30 for new business and collections from the previous day.

- Thursday 13:00-15:30 for new business and collections from the previous day.

 

2) The Consular Section will be closed on Monday 27 September 2010 for all new business and collections   from the previous day.

The Consular Section receives inquiries by phone only from 8:00 am until 12:00
